The surfer from San Diego is one of the Roxy Team’s prestigious recruits. At 21, the 2006 runner-up world longboard champion has built up a magnificent reputation among the elite of women longboard surfers. Apart from being the youngest surfer of the Roxy Jam Biarritz 2006, Jen finished 2nd at the Noosa Festival and 4th at the Roxy Jam Cardiff last year. The girl who discovered surfing at the age of 8 with the shortboard very quickly abandoned it for the demanding art of noseriding. Out of the water, Jennifer loves skating, cycling and music. In parallel with her sports career, she is studying graphic art and design.

I never leave home without my bag! Check out my must-have items…what are yours?
Sunglasses - I love big oversized glasses. They make me feel like a star. Plenty of glamour without the paparazzi!
Keys I have a really cool key chain that I got on a Roxy trip to Hawaii. It’s my good luck charm.
Wallet – Now that I have my own car, I always have my wallet with me. And with my summer job, I’ve got some cash to put in it!
Agenda - Between surfing, work, school, the gym and meeting up with friends, I have a pretty busy schedule. My agenda keeps me organized.
Cell phone – Gotta make sure my friends can reach me…
Lip gloss – A little shine makes my face come alive. I like natural glosses with a hint of pink and some SPF! I’m in the sun a lot, so it’s important to protect my lips. I hate when they get cracked and chapped.
Face moisturizer with SPF - I always carry a travel size face moisturizer with me, and I make sure that it’s at least SPF 15. It’s so easy to get sun damage throughout the day, even if I am just driving around in my car.
Roxy perfume – A little squirt of my Roxy perfume after the gym makes me feel fresh. It’s great to splash some on right before I meet up with my friends…hey, you never know when you are going to run into your favorite crush, right?
Bronzer – I love looking like I just came from the beach, and the best way to get it without frying your face is to brush on a little bronzer!
Sharpies – I love how they write like markers. The turquoise and green are my faves because they are sea colors.
iPod – This is the mix I’m rocking right now: Feist, “1 2 3 4”; Goldfrapp, “Crystalline Green”; The Presets, “Girl and the Sea”; Block Party “Banquet”; Josh Boots, “Feel”; Timberland featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, “Give It to Me”.
